county. The cases were consolidated for review in this court and
they will be treated throughout this opinion as one case. Christina Froelich's land is the north half of the northwest
quarter, and Frank Froelich's land is the north half of the
northeast quarter, all located in section 34, range 16 west, in
Ellis county, and will hereinafter be referred to as "the land."
